This is a Japanese sunscreen for sensitive skin and for babies. It doesn’t have that greasy or shiny finish nor does it leave that physical white hue on the skin, which is typical of physical mineral sunblocks. There are not parabens, fragrance, or alcohol. When first put on to my hand and face, it is a lotion texture. And then it settles in.
I have sensitive skin and my skin doesn’t react to it. I find I like this better than Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost Water Gel SPF 25. One, it cost less. Two, higher SPF. Three, face feels more moisturized. Four, about 80% natural ingredients and food grade ingredients. A downside, it’s harder to obtain in the states. This sunscreen can be bought at speciality stores or online only, or if you know anyone living in Japan who can purchase it for you.
For ocean babies, earth conscious readers I don’t know if it’s reef safe… I’m assuming it is but don’t take my word for it. Give this a go, if you can get your hands on it and you might just love it as much as I do. (I like to hide this away in my restroom drawer and don’t want to share it, hehe)
