I finally got my PCA done today (May 2, 2017). I’ve been wanting to get this analysis done for years but never did. You know how in those fashion magazines makeup or clothing suggestions are given basis on your cool, warm, or neutral undertones? And when trying these suggestions out, it never seems to work out? Well that’s how it was for me! So I said forget it, let’s get this done professionally! Enter Amanda Roberts! She’s a PCA analyst. She lives in soCal which is where I’m live. I got in contact with her and had my booking.
Bookings take about 2.5hrs and are super educational. You get a color analysis for clothing, a talk about makeup and jewelry, and your own color fan geared towards your color season. There are 12 seasons that you can fall under. In the 12, there are 4 main seasons, winter, spring, summer, fall. And in between/blend of seasons like summer with a hint of spring. We went through color drapings and I was a “true Winter”, aka winter-winter. Which also explains why I hardly wear orange and nearly have no orange clothing pieces. Orange is just not a color that goes well with me. Oh snaps! Well, I’m excited to go through my closet and see what’s true winter and not. I’ll have to keep my color fan with me when I go shopping, it’ll help me with colors that’ll look good on me 🙂
Overall, I very please with the process, results and Amanda’s work. I’m glad I got the PCA done. I highly recommend anyone to get the color analysis done. (Note: $280 for session, she takes both cash and cc) (Amanda’s website)

Update (11/6/2017): Since going through my closet, I’ve noticed I actually have a lot, and I mean a lot of colors that fall into my “True Winter” color category. Some how through the years I’ve instinctively been drawn to those colors. Ironic, really. And I’m still really glad to have gone through the appointment with Amanda too! It solidified my clothing confidence and plus I’ve been capsule wardrob-ing for almost 2 years now, its been even easier now.
