Today’s review: Shambodana Shampoo and Conditioner! Bought these at the local Nijiya market.
What’s so special about it: There are only 2 ingredients in the shampoo (water and camelia oil). No dyes, fragrances, sodium laura sulfates, DEAs, PEGs, no nothing!
Cost: Shampoo in plastic bottle $26.99; in refill bag $19.99. Conditioner in plastic bottle $26.99; in refill bag $16.99. (I found it on amazon for cheaper, $4.40 for shampoo refill bag.)
My Experience: I’ve been using this shampoo and conditioner now for months, on and off. It’s so strong that I find I can’t use it all the time, even with my oily type hair. So I use it when I need my oily hair to be majorly tamed, like when I travel by airplane, it’s going to be a hot day, or there is an upcoming event I need to attend the following day. The shampoo, seems to make my hair feel drier. I think the closest feel would be using dry shampoo, something like Bumble and Bumble’s dry shampoo. So it’s like dry shampoo but wet… that’s got to make no since whatsoever.
OVERALL: Anyways, I love this shampoo because of it’s two ingredient listing. I know what’s inside and it doesn’t have the harmful chemicals. It’s got a powerful drying effect so I use it for special occasions, plus it is on the more expensive side. If you deep pockets, don’t mind the dry shampoo feel, and have ultra oily hair, this is your shampoo.
